Play In The Streets Sunday during OPEN STREETS CHICAGO
This Sunday join thousands of fun-loving Chicagoans, including 32nd Ward Alderman Scott Wauguespack, 1st Ward Alderman Proco Joe Moreno, 35th Ward Alderman Rey Colon and Chicago Dept. of Transportation Commissioner Gabe Klein at Open Streets Chicago presented by the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, Wicker Park Bucktown Special Service Area #33 and Active Transportation Alliance. Just as the name implies, everyone will be playing in the street! A three mile stretch along Milwaukee Avenue though Wicker Park, Bucktown and Logan Square from Logan Blvd. south to Ashland Ave will be transformed into the ultimate urban playground. Streets will be closed to car traffic and open for free healthy recreation including biking, running, yoga classes, skate jams, interactive playgrounds, relay races, a sidewalk chalk area and more! Last year about 25,000 people came out to be active during Open Streets Chicago, so expect a big crowd!
This event takes place Sunday September 15 10a-3p and is appropriate for all ages.
