In an attempt to satisfy Chicago’s bottomless bacon appetite, the organizers of Baconfest have released the official roster of chefs! Gathering the culinary talent from nearly every corner of the city, the 2014 lineup includes more than 160 participants – the most in Baconfest history.
This year’s list includes celebrities like Stephanie Izard as well as neighborhood favorites like the Baconfest-newcomer Carnitas Uruapan.
For the first time this year, Baconfest will host three shifts over two days: dinner on Friday, April 25 and both lunch and dinner on Saturday, April 26. Only a portion of the participating chefs will attend each session and the session breakdown will be announced in early February.
General Admission tickets ($100) for all three session will be available on Monday, February 24. Each ticket gives you access to all the session’s food, a few drink tickets for beer, wine and cocktails and a reusable Baconfest tote bag.
The VIP Tickets ($200, on sale now) include everything listed with the general tickets, plus an extra hour of doughy deliciousness with the Cooking Channel.
