Best known for his time at Sunda, Chef Rodelio Aglibot is opening Yum Cha: a Dim Sum Parlour in Lakeshore East this March.

Located at 333 E. Randolph, the former Maison Brasserie space, Chef Aglibot and his partners plan to focus on traditional Chinese dishes such as Peking Duck, Chop Suey and Egg Foo Young, alongside a number of creative dishes that showcase the cuisine's playful side.

The name Yum Cha literally means "drink tea," but according to the Aglibot and his team, it’s also slang for “Let’s go eat dim sum” as tea and dim sum are normally enjoyed together.

The 50-seat restaurant will be open for lunch, dinner, carry out and delivery. Dim sum items will run $3-7 and entrées from $9-12 at lunch and $12-mid-$20s at dinner.
