Dim Sum in the Dark at Sunda
This Thursday Sunda in River North is hosting an upscale evening of Dim Sum in the Dark, a good reminder that Halloween is more than just scantily clad costumes and booze filled witches’ brew.
The evening takes place in Sunda’s private dining space and features Halloween-themed cocktails and wine, passed appetizers and buffet stations, all of which you’ll enjoy while listening to a live DJ in the dark.
A friend of mine attended Dim Sum in the Dark a few years ago and said the event is exactly what you would expect: classy, upbeat, fun and just dark enough. This isn’t a pitch black dining experience but I’m predicting the atmosphere will jumpstart the evening perfectly for a late night at The Underground.
In terms of attire, leave your costume, even the respectable one, at home. Even though it’s Halloween, you’re still going to the celeb spot so unless Patrick Sharp tells you he’s showing up as Superman, leave your cape at home.
The event is sold out online but a small group of tickets will be available the night of the event on a first come first served basis. And as a bonus, the ticket includes complimentary express entry to the Underground at 10pm ($20 value).
