Not long after earning a second Michelin star, Trump Tower and Sixteen are continuing to improve the culinary team. This week Sixteen announced Chef Aya Fukai is their new executive pastry chef.
Chef Fukai will oversee the dessert program as she and Executive Chef Thomas Lents complete Sixteen’s winter menu, The Story of Chicago, which runs until late-March. Our first chance to taste Chef Fukai’s unique creations will be Sixteen's spring menu in late-March or early-April.
Before Sixteen, Chef Fukai lead the pastry and bread program for two-Michelin starred Ria and the modern bistro Balsan at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago.
