Two of Chicago's favorite culinary masters, and former Top Chef contestants, are teaming up for a special seven-course tasting dinner, but with a unique twist...

Four-time Michelin star winner Chef Takashi Yagihashi and James Beard award winner Chef Tony Mantuano, are swapping cuisines for an exclusive dinner at Takashi. Chef Takashi will prepare Chef Mantuano's signature Italian fare, and Chef Mantuano will cook Chef Takashi's Japanese specialties.

If there is one thing I’ve learned from countless episodes of Top Chef, it’s that even the best chef can be caught off guard by a new cuisine. But with their culinary credentials, I don’t think this will be an issue.

This dinner kicks off a quarterly dinner series that will take place at Takashi in Bucktown.

  • Cost: $105 for seven-course dinner, optional wine pairing +$60
  • When: Tuesday, Feb. 25
  • Reservations: Available from 5:30-10pm
