The 2013 Chicago Humanities Festival (CHF) is just around the corner, with it's mission to bring to the communities the ability to access cultural, artistic and educational opportunities. Teaching people of all ages and groups to engulf the humanities through exploration, through support and definitely through enjoying. This years theme is Animal: What Makes Us Human.
The festival began in 1989 and went from being a one day event emerged into the festival we have today. With the support from the Illinois Humanities Council and co-sponsors the Art Institute, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera Chicago, and the University of Chicago, the event has become a proud source of artists, poets, thinkers, architects and much more.
This is the festivals 24th year and will take place between November 1st thru to the 10th in the Loop and downtown area. With this years theme and it's 88 programs to explore there will plenty to take away from this years event. With a mishmash of art, science, culture and of course the humanities to convey the discussions there will be something that can resonate with all kinds of attendees.
