Podcast Friday - Music Diversity Protection Program With Jay Nichols
I put a call out a couple of weeks ago for anyone who may be doing a podcast that’s Chicago or Illinois related, created here or someone hosting who’s representing, to connect with me and let me know about their show, content creation. One of the responders who reached out is Jay Nichols who has the Music Diversity Protection Program with Jay Nichols.
Jay describes the young podcast, started on January 1, 2013, as an alternative music show but one with style and comedy. The music is from Jay’s personal collection and he sets his goals on playing music you never get to hear on the radio (this is my kind of show).
The show’s tagline:
F*ck em if they can’t take a podcast
Not only does the tagline get right in your face but for added entertainment Jay tells me that the show has a disgruntled former radio host who does movie trailer radio spots on the show and adds his own twisted view on life in return. I love it when a show is able to not introduce something new to an audience but also make it fun and comical.
Well, Jay thanks for getting in touch with me and know that I’ll be right there listen to the next show and I’m glad to write that you are this weeks TLT Podcast Friday. As always support our local artist and that includes content creators.
