Today is one of the last days of the school year for CPS, but for most of us, school has been out for a few years. Bringing us a sliver of childhood fun, Jake Melnick’s – my go-to place for wings - is reinventing a childhood classic with PB&J wings.
The new PB&J wing flavor features Thai peanut sauce with a chipotle raspberry jam. Add a pint of Left Hand Brewing’s Milk Stout and it’s the adult version of a third grader’s lunch. Is it 6pm, yet?
The first sampling of the PB&J wings takes place tonight - Thursday, June 12th - at “Jakes’ Wing Bash” from 6-8pm in the newly renovated Keg Room and on their outdoor patio.
In addition to the new release, Jake Wing Bash will include eight different flavors of wings, live music, and giveaways from Left Hand Brewing.
Tickets are $35, which includes two beer tickets and enjoy all-you-can-eat wings for the evening.
If you’re booked tonight – more wings for us – come back to Jake Melnick’s any day of the week and you can try the new PB&J wings.
