To kick off the winter holiday season, Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park, 200 North Columbus Drive, is launching its second annual Cookies and Cheer, A Luxury Cookie Exchange. This joyful event, being held Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. gives guests the opportunity to mix and mingle with Fairmont’s award-winning culinary staff, while enjoying wine tastings and an incredible array of freshly-baked seasonal cookies. This modern take on the cookie exchange takes the stress out of holiday baking. Attendees will take home three dozen gourmet cookies of their choice, wrapped in custom luxury packaging.
Last year’s event was a huge success, and the Fairmont hopes to make this an ongoing annual event, held on the first Thursday of December each year. This year, there is a new exciting addition called “Dough for Dough.” This program gives guests the opportunity to buy a log of pre-made frozen cookie dough to bake anytime during the holiday season. This year’s frozen option with be Chef James’ Mexican Chocolate cookies. The cost is $15 with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Cure It Foundation, a nonprofit organization fighting to cure pediatric cancer while providing personalized support for the children diagnosed with this terrible illness and their families.
