AlphaBeer Spells F-U-N

What happens when you give a room full of beer lovers a brew for every letter of the alphabet? FUN! At AlphaBeer III, Brewmaster Jim McCabe of Milwaukee Brewing Company led us through each “letter”. It was an afternoon of laughter, learning, and libations.

Special thanks go out to the Brew Crew, @gourmetrambler, @airdisa, @chowbelle, @jimgoodrich, @tamj, and @scottfmurphy. If you’re wondering why I’m using their Twitter names, it’s because I put out a request for beer pourers a few days before and they all came to the rescue. Extra thanks go to Scott, since he doesn’t even drink beer! He did a great job of keeping us organized by fetching the next letter from the cooler and making sure we had backups of each beer so late arrivals could catch up.

I also want to extend warm thanks to Four Points Sheraton and Sushi Taiyo for such a sunny room on a hot summer day and for their help in getting the full beers in and the empty boxes out.

Thanks also to Jim McCabe. I took a tour of Milwaukee Brewing Company back in June and was impressed with his knowledge and his passion, so I was thrilled when he agreed to be the Brewmaster for this event.
