ALTSO's 6th Annual Rocktoberfest to Rock For Good!

A Leg To Stand On’s (ALTSO) Rocktoberfest unites over 500 leaders from the alternative investments and financial services industries for a night of rock & roll and acoustic music, featuring bands whose talented performers are industry members. The event originated in New York twelve years ago, and now celebrates its sixth anniversary in Chicago on October 5 at City Winery, 1200 W Randolph St.

Rocktoberfest gathers colleagues, friends, and current and prospective clients for what has been recognized as one of the most highly anticipated and effective events in the charitable and finance sectors. This year’s event will celebrate the continued mission of ALTSO and the 16,000 children treated to date.

ALTSO provides free prosthetic limbs and corrective surgery to children suffering from traumatic or congenital limb disabilities in the developing world – at an average cost of only $250 per child. And we stand beside our kids all the way until they turn 18.

The average ALTSO family earns about $3 a day, and lives approximately 1 to 3 miles away from the closest school. With no access to transportation, if a child can’t walk, they simply can’t go to school. If they can’t go to school, they can’t get a job. If they can’t get a job, they can’t sustain a family.  This is the reality for children with untreated limb disabilities in the developing world.

Your ticket to Rocktoberfest includes 5-hours of open bar, food, and great rock & roll from leaders in the financial community. Most importantly, one ticket provides a life-changing treatment for a child in need.

Tickets are available at ALTSO.org/rocktoberfestchicago. Get yours today and you’ll be changing a child’s life and making the world a better place.

This week only you can also enter to win a pair of tickets to this wonderful event. We’ll announce the winner on Monday, September 18, so you’ll have plenty of time to get your tickets if your entry isn’t selected.

Full disclosure: The Local Tourist is a media sponsor for this event.
