Announcing The 100 Days Of Chicago Photo Contest

I love Chicago. Love it. I love it so much that just a few months after I moved here I started this website, this love poem to my favorite city.

That was ten years ago.

It’s hard to believe it’s been a decade, but this June will mark the tenth year I’ve been sending out my and helping people figure out where to go and what to do. It’s been a phenomenal ride, and now I’ve got a whole team that loves sharing their experiences in this city as much as I do.

I think that deserves a party, so mark your calendars for June 3!

That also deserves a countdown. Since Chicago is one of the most photogenic cities in the world, that countdown should be a photo contest. And so it is!

For 100 days we’re going to feature a different photo of Chicago on our home page, but they’re not by me or our team. You take ’em; you choose ’em! We’re inviting photographers – amateur, pro, and accidental – to share your favorite photos of the Windy City. Then each day you and your friends will vote on your favorites, and the one with the most votes for that day will be featured on the home page the next!

That’s pretty cool, but we’re not stopping there. On June 3, the day of the party, we’ll open up voting for those 100 photos. On the 10th (get it?) we’ll announce the ten with the most votes, and they’ll win some pretty cool prizes, including a Grand Prize that includes a one day boot camp with Chicago Photography Center and a stay at the Hyatt Regency Chicago!

Now that’s cool.

Start uploading your photos now, because voting starts Thursday morning at 9am! If you don’t see this until Friday – or even May, for that matter – don’t worry, because we’re resetting the votes each day to keep it fair. (I’d start early, though, so you have more chances to win!)

I hope you’ll join us in our “100 Days Of Chicago” photo contest, either as a photographer or a fan, or both! And remember to save June 3!
