Beer from A to Z with WGN's Pete McMurray

How do you get on WGN Radio? Bring 26 beers to the station. That’s what I did last night, and now I just may be Pete McMurray‘s favorite guest. (I’m guessing here, but I brought 26 beers! What’s not to love?)

What’s the occassion? We were getting a mini-preview of this Saturday’s upcoming AlphaBeer XII event. This unique and insanely fun tasting event is like a beer school on steroids. Attendees try a craft beer for every letter of the alphabet, and each one is introduced by an expert. We’ll have guests from Baderbrau and Hopothesis, and Berghoff will be sharing its just-released Oak-Aged Stock Ale. You can’t get that one anywhere yet!

During our eleven minute interview we managed to try six different beers. See which ones were Pete’s favorites at, then take a look at the entire lineup below and get your tickets today!

Want to hear more? I’ll be heading back to WGN for Nick Digilio’s show at 2:10am.
