Lately I’ve been hearing about more and more people that physically can’t tolerate gluten, and more people that are trying to cut it out for various health-reasons. That means that more restaurants and grocery stores are offering options for the wheat-free dining.
Big Bowl has just come out with a whole gluten-free menu. Instead of just a couple of items they’re offering a selection of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Beer lovers who have had to deny themselves can indulge in New Grist from Lakefront out of Milwaukee. The menu consists of standbys everyone will recognize: lettuce wraps, four types of pad thai, and Mongolian beef to name a few. They’re even separating gluten from the rest of the kitchen using protocols similar to those necessary for nut allergies.
The menu is available now at all Chicago area locations.
