This post is brought to you by Brickworld, and our partnership means you get to save money on your tickets to this event!
LEGO® bricks are awesome. They’re magical little bits of goodness that, when stacked together, make magical bigger bits of goodness. They bring out the kid in anyone (unless you step on one, of course. Ouch!). Basically, if you don’t like them, you probably just don’t like fun.
But since you DO like fun, put this event on your calendar: Brickworld® LEGO® Fan Exposition is coming to the Chicago area June 16 and 17. Not only will you see the most amazing displays, all built from those little plastic bricks, you’ll also get to play with them! The event features interactive activities, play areas, and vendors so you can bring them home with you.
Once a year Brickworld fills 100,000 square feet at the Schaumburg Convention Center with creations made by builders from all over the world. That’s a lot of LEGO® bricks.
There’s a reason LEGO® bricks are so popular and have remained so for decades. The bricks help hand-eye coordination and teach engineering skills. You stretch your imagination and improve your creativity. Now imagine a convention center filled with people building and creating and oohing and aahing. LEGO® bricks are fun at home, but there’s nothing like attending this event.
Coming to Brickworld is like entering an alternate universe where everything is awesome. As you look at the amazing creations you become a knight or an astronaut or a pirate or a fantasy character. You are absorbed into the dioramas and awed by the enormity of the models.
The displays are labors of love created by hobbyists that have one goal: the perfect model. Limited only by their imagination, these artists and engineers put countless hours and countless parts into these incredible displays. Then, they bring them all to the Schaumburg Convention Center for you to see.
And, as you and your kids get inspired (although kids aren’t required), you can head to one of the building areas and test your own imagination. Or, you can visit a vendor and purchase the parts you need to finish that creation you’ve always dreamed of. Who knows, maybe you will be one of the people displaying your imagination at Brickworld in the future. The sky is the limit when it comes to building with the brick!
