CD’s and mp3’s just aren’t as groovy as vinyl. Browse and stock up at the 12th annual CHIRP Record Fair & Other Delights Saturday, April 12 in the West Loop. It’s an all-day shopping event featuring dealers from all over the Midwest. Record stores, independent labels and private collectors converge in Plumbers Hall with thousands upon thousands of vinyl records (and CDs and tapes!) ready for the picking.
Stop by the CHIRP table in front of the stage for cheap records, CHIRP merch and raffle contests with prizes from local bike shops, restaurants, theaters and more.
If you get the munchies there will be plenty of taco’s and more from Big Star Chicago and vegan options from Upton’s Breakroom. Dark Matter Coffee will be serving their limited edition CHIRP Blend and Goose Island Beer Co. will be pouring drafts for those who want something more than caffeine.
General admission (10AM-7PM) is $7 at the door. Early admission (8AM-7PM) is $25.
