Bryan Adams Turns up the Heat at Ravinia

Friday night was sizzling at Ravinia in Highland Park when Grammy Award winner, Bryan Adams, performed to a packed crowd. The weather was hot, and when Adams began playing, he cranked up the heat with his popular music and impeccable talent.

This was only my second time seeing Adams, and he does not disappoint. His vocals are crisp and instrumentals sound like you’re listening to his tunes straight from his albums.

He performed for nearly two hours with his wonderful backing band, and serenaded the crowd with his hits, “Heaven,” “Everything I Do, I Do It for You,” “Summer of ’69,” and more. You can check out his lengthy set list below.

Adams recently penned the new musical Pretty Woman, based on the romantic comedy mega hit starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. The musical ran a pre-Broadway showing in Chicago at the Oriental Theatre March 13 through April 15, 2018. Pretty Woman will officially debut on Broadway July 20. For extra fun, Ravinia held a contest encouraging concert-goers to wear their favorite “Julia Roberts hat” and Ravinia’s spotters rewarded participants with special prizes.
