Chicago French Market Celebrates One Year Anniversary

The Chicago French Market was a concept a long time coming. This indoor market offers commuters and residents, locals and tourists a variety of produce, meats, cheese, baked goods, beverages and more just a few steps from the Metra trains at Ogilvie. On December 17 & 18 it’s celebrating its one year anniversary in a variety of ways.

One is by giving away 1,000 reusable tote bags each day beginning at 10am. Another is with free tastings at from the nearly 30 vendors. On Friday the 17th folk musician Andrew Calhoun will perform from 3 to 7pm, and Saturday includes a visit from Santa, live entertainment and carolers. You can find more information on the event listing.
