Lincoln Park hosts the newest street fest: Lincoln Avenue LIVE

After such a rainy and cold Memorial Day weekend, you’re probably itching to get outside this coming weekend.  The forecast is looking much better for the Windy City’s newest street festival debut, Lincoln Avenue LIVE.

Some of the area’s most popular bands will be performing.  In fact, there will be two stages: one for live music, the other for DJ’s.  Plenty of food and libation from local establishments and of course the fabulous arts and crafts you tend to see at street festivals.  And if you bring your kids make sure to check out “Munchkinland”, a Wizard Of Oz themed area presented by Chicago’s acclaimed Emerald City Theatre Company 12noon -5p daily with craft activities, dance parties, story telling and more.

This fun fest will take place 12noon-9:30pm Saturday June 1 and 12noon-9pm Sunday June 2 on Lincoln Avenue from Webster to Belden.  Suggested “donation” is $5 for the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce.  Kids 12 and under are free (no suggested donation).
