SideDoor & Moody Tongue: Not Your Typical Beer Dinner

SideDoor is not your typical gastropub. It’s part of Lawry’s Prime Rib, which means its sandwiches and meats are a step or two above bar grub. It’s located in the historic McCormick Mansion, which means its ambience is warm and luxurious. And you enter in a side door, which hearkens back to Chicago’s speakeasy days and is just plain cool.

Moody Tongue is not your typical brewery. Their brewmaster, Jared Rouben, was a chef at Michelin starred-Martini House in Napa, so their beers are made with everything from the standard chocolate and coffee to the groundbreaking ingredients like peas and truffles.

This April 1 the two are joining forces for a Culinary Brewed Dinner. The first of SideDoor’s Guest Chef dinner series, this event will feature the cuisine of Executive Chef Brian Kwak paired with the beers of Brewmaster Rouben.
