If you like cycling and the library and sun, sand, volleyball, and free wifi, then do I have the volunteer opportunity for you.
The Chicago Public Library wants to let people know that there’s a lot more to the institution than books and the Dewey Decimal System. You can download music and movies, search through databases galore, and use their free wifi. This Saturday they’re looking for volunteers to pedal the CPL bike generator, which will be powering free wifi for their Library Lounge at the Volleywood Beach Bash. The first 50 people get tickets to the bash (it’s a free event, but tickets are limited). They need volunteers between noon and 7pm, so email your name, email address, and availability to notwhatyouthink@allterrain.net.
