Angela Rose is one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. When she was just 17 she was kidnapped in broad daylight from a shopping mall parking lot and sexually assaulted. That was over fifteen years ago, and ever since then she’s been tirelessly working to “pave positive futures” for other victims of sexual violence with the non-profit she founded, P.A.V.E. (Promoting Awareness, Victim Empowerment). She’s a living example of her message that there’s no shame in being a victim, and you can survive and thrive!
She’s celebrating the past fifteen years with a fundraiser on Tuesday, July 12. I’m proud to be on the host committee, and I hope you’ll join me in honoring not only Angela, but all of the women and men who have been part of this amazing organization. They have truly impacted lives and empowered victims to Shatter The Silence.
