DMK, Giordano's to Dock at Navy Pier

Navy Pier‘s undergoing a massive renovation in anticipation of next year’s centennial celebration. Part of that renovation is the addition of several Chicago-based restaurants. As Chicago’s most popular tourist attraction, introducing all those visitors to the cuisine that makes us a culinary giant just makes sense. It’s also sure to bring more locals out to play.

Giordano’s, home of the famous stuffed pizza, will be opening in late May. Diners can dine al fresco on the north side of the pier at the 51st location for the Chicago chain.

Also opening are two new locations for the DMK Restaurants group. The original DMK Burger Bar was opened in 2009 by David Morton and Michael Kornick. Now they’ve got mulitple locations of that concept as well as others throughout the city and suburbs. This summer they’ll open a DMK Burger Bar and a Fish Bar centrally located on the pier. The 3,000 square foot space will be supplemented by a dedicated outdoor patio. In addition to their regular menus visitors to the pier can take advantage of walk-up windows offering fries and adult frozen beverages.

Other additions include Big Bowl Chinese Express and Frankie’s Pizza By The Slice, both Lettuce Entertain You concepts.

Navy Pier is located at 600 East Grand Ave. It’s open year round, but is particularly fun during the warmer summer months (even for locals).
