Elvis is NOT Playing Lollapalooza

If you’ve been near Grant Park in the last week you’ve probably noticed all of the tents being set up for Lollapalooza. The three day fest starts tomorrow and the relative placidity of Chicago’s front yard will be replaced with raucous music and boisterous fans. But first, there will be Elvis.

Tonight is the Elvis Is Alive 5K. That’s where runners dress up like The King and run up and down the lakefront and are rewarded with beer. No, not Blue Moon, they’ll be served Goose Island. They’ll be All Shook Up
and ready to Shake, Rattle & Roll
for the weekend.
