Hawthorne Race Course, Illinois’ oldest sporting venue, is celebrating America’s oldest sport with its fourth annual Americana Nights on Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13. The two-day festival, which features live harness racing, starts at 6 p.m. each day with post time at 7:10 p.m. each day along with adult- and kid-friendly outdoor games. The festival features horse-drawn cart rides on the track, life-size beer pong, giant Jenga, corn hole tournaments, summer fun giveaways and more. Additionally, there will be live music before racing begins with performances by SunFallen and The Noize.
