It’s November 21, 1963. On the eve of their deployment to a small but growing conflict in Southeast Asia, three young Marines set out for one final boys’ night of debauchery, partying and maybe a little trouble. But, when Corporal Eddie Birdlace (Jake Lange) meets Rose (Katie Meyers), an awkward and idealistic waitress whom he enlists to win a cruel bet with his fellow recruits, she rewrites the rules of the game and teaches him the power of love and compassion.
From the musical minds of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, The Greatest Showman), book by Peter Duchan, and based on the Warner Bros. Film and Screenplay by Bob Comfort, SF&T’s production of Dogfight highlights wonderful Chicago professionals on and off the stage. The ensemble cast also features Amanda Brommel, Tony Calkins, Niki Charisse Franco, Tim Huggenberger, Marc James, Jim Kane, Gabi Knoepfle, Thom Lange, Ryan Milord, Jordan Roulo, Billy Surges, Daven Taba, Brian Warner, Amanda Zgonina, and Sara Zgonina.
The creative team includes Billy Surges (Direction, Design, Choreography), Daven Taba (Musical Direction) and Jeff Davis (Additional Choreography), with Michael Calkins (Tech) and Karl Michael Rodriguez (Band Leader).
NOTE: Rated R for adult themes and strong language.
