A young window-washer transforms himself into a tycoon in this satire of big business. With the help of a little how-to book, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, J. Pierrepont Finch bluffs, cajoles and outsmarts his way up the corporate ladder. This humorous take on corporate politics and office hanky-panky opened on Broadway in 1961, earned seven Tony Awards and ended up running for a remarkable 1,417 performances. Set in the Mad Men era and filled with great tunes like “I Believe in You,” “Brotherhood of Man” and “The Company Way” (performed by a full orchestra), this musical comedy smash swings its way to Cahn Auditorium in Evanston courtesy of Music Theater Works.
