Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation’s 28th Annual “Play for the Cure” Game Day
The Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation (LSCRF) welcomes summer with the annual Play for the Cure Game Day, the season’s finest sporting event, featuring a women’s round robin tennis competition, 18-hole golf experience and card games including canasta, mahjong and bridge. The event will be held on Monday, June 17 at Exmoor Country Club, 700 Vine Avenue, Highland Park and all proceeds will benefit breast cancer research and educational programs at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University through LSCRF.
Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. to kick off the event-filled day featuring summer activities and games fit for every guest, including:
- Tennis | Women’s Round Robin begins at 10:00 a.m.
- Cards | Games of Canasta, Mahjong and Bridge games begin at 1:00 p.m.
- Golf | Golf shot-gun tee off starts at 1:00 p.m.
Lunch will be served at 12:00 p.m. and the day concludes with cocktails and dinner at 5:00 p.m.
Tennis co-chairs are Meredith Soren Freese and Ashley Netzky. Tennis sponsorships are available from the Grand Slam Sponsor ($2,500) to the Ace Sponsor ($1,000), with both sponsorship levels including lunch. A women’s singles ticket is $300 for one player and includes lunch.
Cards co-chairs are Nancy Golding and Ellen Soren. Card sponsorships are available from the Splash Sponsor ($2,000), which includes lunch, cocktails and dinner; to the Bids, Kongs and Pongs Sponsor ($1,500), which includes lunch. An individual card ticket with lunch, cocktails and dinner is $350 per player; an individual card ticket with lunch only is $250 per player.
The Golf co-chairs are Terri Lind and Lili Ann Zisook. Golf sponsorships range from the Double Eagle Sponsor ($7,500) to the Eagle Sponsor ($4,500) and the Birdie Sponsor ($2,000). An individual golf ticket is $900 and a golf ticket for under 45 years is $550 per player. All golf sponsorships and tickets include lunch, cocktails and dinner.
Play for the Cure Game Day sponsor is the Mazzetta Company, LLC. and additional sponsors include At Properties and Resnick Automotive Group. Pink Ribbon Play for the Cure Game Day $10,000 sponsorships are still available.
