Windy City Playhouse’s hit show, Southern Gothic, moves to a new venue on the South Loop’s Motor Row, after winning three Joseph Jefferson Awards and 11 Chicago Theater Awards, including Best Production, Best Director and Best New Work. Mad Men meets Desperate Housewives in this immersive, intimate drama. With just 30 audience members per show, Southern Gothic invites you inside a 1960s birthday party that (quickly) goes awry. Wander the set at your own leisure to discover all the juicy drama that unfolds throughout the evening’s festivities, and even enjoy small cocktail samplings and snacks, served by the characters. Lauded by audience and critics alike, Southern Gothic comes to the South Loop after an unprecedented 11-month run in Irving Park.
You’ll be served the same light appetizers and tastings of cocktails that the “party guests” are served throughout the evening. These are very small portions. Additional cocktail and non-alcoholic drink tickets will be available for purchase before the show at the lobby bar.
