Ani is a new Japanese restaurant in Lakeview that's already got quite a following. Check out what recent OpenTable diners have to say about it:
"Coming from Hawaii and Asia where our fish was always very fresh, Ani is the only restaurant we will eat raw fish at from now on. His fish is 24-36 hours from catch to his door and he serves it that day. The sake list is extensive with both filtered and unfiltered brands. Try their house sake brewed in Japan just for Ani. A perfect neighborhood gem!"
"The sashimi was buttery and they served live scallop, which was a revelation. All of the food was really fresh - wonderful flavors! Really good wine/sake list to pair with the food; they are very thoughtful about balance."
