First Ever Hospitality Fest for Hospitality Professionals

There are thousands and thousands of people in the hospitality industry in Chicago. These are the people that keep our visitors happy, host networking events, foster entertainment and education, and help plan milestones from weddings to retirement parties. They’re often the ones hosting events, but this Wednesday there’s an event just for them.

The inaugural Hospitality Fest, hosted by Jim Grillo, the genius gent behind Here’s Chicago, invites hospitality professionals to network and learn. With fifty table sponsors, including chambers of commerce, restaurants, breweries, attractions, and event planners attendees can find the best businesses in the industry. The Local Tourist will be there, too, connecting with people who help others connect.

In addition to the trade-show style booths with tons of tastings, giveaways, and samples, there will also be seminars on storytelling for business, LinkedIn, and the importance of DMCs (Destination Management Companies) to the industry.

The fest is free with a requested $10 donation to Friends of Marlene, which supplies supportive services to cancer patients at Northwest Hospital Chicago. If you’d like to attend they’re nearing capacity, so register today! When you go, be sure to stop by and say hello!

Hospitality Fest takes place August 24 from 4pm to 6:30pm, with a rooftop after-party (weather permitting). The event will be held at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness at 211 N Stetson.
