Beginning this Saturday, March 15, Koi Fine Asian Cuisine & Lounge will begin offering dim sum service during brunch. The Evanston restaurant will offer around 60 items on Saturdays and Sundays between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Among the items you can get are shrimp and chive dumplings, red bean sesame balls, and short rib with black bean sauce.
Prices for dim sum items range from $3.50 to $5, and you can pair them with mimosas and Bloody Marys. The cocktails are $5 or, if you prefer to sip “sum” more, $10 for a bottomless glass.
While you’re dining on dim sum you can feel good. Each month Koi donates a portion of their receipts to a local charity. This month the recipient is the Forrest E. Powell Foundation.
