Greetings TLT Readers!! Introduction of a not-so-new contributor.

My name is Heidi and I’ve lived in this great city for just over nine years and have never once tired of being an urbanite. I was recently faced with the possibility of relocating to the west coast but soon realized how much I would miss Chicago.  I love this place dearly and feel I’m still discovering new things every time I go out exploring, even after almost a decade.  I play tourist all the time, usually wandering around the various neighborhoods with my camera around my neck, capturing snippets of life.  I just can’t get enough of all the things to do here, whether it’s attending a live event, or learning more about this city’s rich and diverse history.  I’m now going to combine my love of exploring Chicago with writing about it to help spread the word and hopefully offer new insight on things to do.  I’ve posted before, but be prepared to hear from me more often!

I’ve lived in Wicker Park, Bronzeville, and now Lincoln Square.  I’ve explored with two wheels and four, a great deal by train, and many miles on my own two feet.  There is no best way to explore, just get out there!  Feel free to contact me if you have a question about a post or wonder what the heck was that picture I posted.  Expand your own Chicago horizons and in the words of Daniel Burnham, make no little plans!  This Paris of the Prairie is teeming with vibrant, rich and innovative life.
