Half-Price Theater Tickets

Most people know that in New York you can visit the ticket booth in Times Square for day-of half-price tickets. Chicago offers a similar service, but with more options.

HotTix has three walk-up booth locations, but what really makes it wonderful is you can actually get tickets to some shows online, and sometimes for performances a day or two in advance.

Today, for example, there are online tickets available to “Good Boys And True” at the Goodman, “A Big Blue Nail” at the Biograph, and “Hunchback” at Redmoon Central.

Of course, some of the fun in NYC is showing up at the booth and seeing what’s available (and there are more options at the physical locations), so here are the HotTix addresses. As in NYC, it’s best to get your tickets early.

• Magnificent Mile, The Water Works Visitors Center, 163 E Pearson St
• Skokie, North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, 9501 N Skokie Blvd

Hours:
Tues – Sat, 10am to 6pm
Sun, 11am to 4pm (Skokie location closed on Sundays during summer)
Closed on Monday
