What do you give the guy who gives smiles to children all through December? A big thanks and tickets to the Chicago Blackhawks.

On December 26, Chicago’s NHL team is inviting 50 local Santas to take a load off, without small ones climbing up on their laps. In return they’re just asked to dress up as “vacationing Santa” by wearing Hawaiian shirts, beards, and their red caps. Santa doesn’t do it alone, though, so Mrs. Claus and the elfs are also invited.

The Blackhawks are competing against Nashville and tickets start at only $10. If you are, or you know of, a deserving Santa, email All Terrain Public Relations. Include your name, email address, phone number, a photo of yourself in a Claus outfit (or Mrs. Claus, or Elf costume), and a description of why you should be part of the special “Vacationing Santas” section. If you are selected, details on how to pick up your tickets at the United Center on December 26 will be provided.
