Nothin’ says summer like a big ‘ol hot dog. July is National Hot Dog Month, and a couple Chicago restaurants are celebrating:
Brassier Jo, 59 W Hubbard, (312)595-0800, is offering French-style dogs – on a baguette with mustard – for $1 in the bar from 5 to 7pm, Mondays throughout July.
Stretch Run Sporting Club & Grille, 544 N LaSalle, (312)644-4477, is celebrating that tradition with a different preparation of half-pound Vienna beef hot dog served on a steamed poppy seed bun each week. And not a single one uses ketchup. All dogs $3.50 Monday through Saturday, $1.99 on Sunday.
