Indie Incubator Film Fest XIX Returns To The Original Mothers

Chicago’s premier short film fest will host their nineteenth installment, dubbed Indie Incubator XIX: Second to the Last, But Second to None on Tuesday, November 18 at The Original Mother’s. The Indie Incubator Film Fest is homegrown and keeps it local, running twice a year in Chicago since 2005, but will be coming to a close when they hit number twenty. These last two Indie Incubators will pull from its vast vault of short films along with new film submissions to see who will make it into the final Indie Incubator Film Fest in the spring of 2015.

As in the past, every filmmaker will be awarded an Eye-Con award, however only one will be crowned “Best in Fest”.  Films will be judged by a panel of respected, local individuals in the Chicago film community.  Past judges have included representatives from WTTW, The Chicago Film Office, Chicago SAG, TriBeCa Film Fest, and many others.

Admission (as always) will be free and it is also free to submit a film.  Local filmmakers are encouraged to submit. The top three films selected in this fest will also advance to the final Indie Incubator, Indie Incubator XX. There will be a $250 cash prize for “Best in Fest”. Winners must be present.  Filmmakers who would like to enter a film may do so HERE.  Trailers and music videos will also be accepted for consideration.  Films must be submitted on or before Friday, November 14.

At the event on November 18, doors will open at 8PM.  There will be at least two hours of running time with short intermissions throughout.  Complimentary popcorn will be available along with $4 Coors Light bottles and $5 Jameson cocktails on special. Attendees must be 21 and over.
