Now that civil unions are legal in Illinois one of our biggest tourist attractions wants to show the world its support for gay couples. The John Hancock Observatory will be hosting its first commitment ceremony tomorrow, but that’s not all that’s happening on the 94th floor. They’ve invited same sex couples to submit their love stories for a chance to win a ceremony at the observatory. The winners will also receive a one-night stay in a luxury suite at Chicago’s Essex Inn and $1000 towards the purchase of civil union bands at Holtzmann Jewelers.
They’re down to two couples, and you can help pick the winner by reading their stories on the John Hancock Observatory’s website and then vote on their Facebook page.
