The July 6 Ravinia concert by Mandy Patinkin and Nathan Gunn has been canceled due to a scheduling conflict. A change in the shooting schedule of Patinkin’s successful television series, Homeland, requires the singer-actor’s talents in South Africa on that date.
“We’re very proud and supportive of Mandy’s success, but when we learned of this cancelation we considered searching for an artist to replace him,” said Welz Kauffman, Ravinia’s President and CEO. “We quickly realized it was a futile effort because the driving force behind this concert is the unique and magical interplay between Mandy and Nathan. This show couldn’t go on without either one of them.”
The 7 p.m. July 6 concert by Chanticleer, “She Said/He Said,” will go on as planned in the Martin Theatre.
