Nazareth Rocks The Arcada Theatre

Chicago has so many great concerts that often times awesome bands spill into the suburbs.  This Friday is a good example of that, with legendary rockers Nazareth playing The Arcada Theatre in St. Charles.   They flew in all the way from Scotland for this show at a former 1926 Vaudeville theatre.  Cool place to see a cool band!

“It is a truly an extra special show when we are able to be a part of an international tour like Nazareth’s,” said Ron Onesti, President and CEO of the 900+ seat venue.  “The band has been performing phenomenal shows since the 1970’s and still maintain a huge following of fans…they are going to open up the month of June with a bang at the Arcada!”

This week I had the opportunity to chat with Nazareth lead singer Dan McCafferty.  He explained the backstory behind two of their most popular songs, “Love Hurts” and “Hair Of The Dog”.  Nazareth has toured the world for the past 45 years yet there is one country they have never visited.  You may be surprised to find out which country it is.  Being that he is Scottish and a rock star I of course asked him for whiskey recommendations.  He’s got quite a few suggestions.
