There’s a new restaurant week in town! The north side neighborhoods of Lincoln Square and Ravenswood are showing off their culinary chops with specials from October 16 – October 21, 2016. Lincoln Square Restaurant Week gives them an opportunity to showcase the range of ethnic cuisines you can find in the two neighborhoods, as well as the variety of atmospheres.
Unlike traditional restaurant weeks, which typically offer prix fixe menus at the same price points, participating restaurants in this promotion offer incentives that are more suited to their individual needs. Several will be offering a prix fixe menu while some might offer a free appetizer and others a special discount.
Rojo Gusano, 4217 N Ravenswood, has a $33 menu with a choice of guacamole, ceviche, taco, side dish, and dessert. At Fountainhead, 1970 W Montrose Ave, you can get three courses for $30 and add beer pairings for $15.
Grafton Pub, 4530 N Lincoln Ave, will have a $20 three-course dinner, and you can accompany it with a beer flight for $10 or a whiskey flight for $20. In the mood for sushi? At Miku Sushi Restaurant, 4514 N Lincoln Ave, you’ll get buy one get one free maki.
If you’re looking for a casual date night, for thirty bucks you can get a couple of beers, two cheesesteaks with fries or salad, and two desserts at Monti’s, 4757 N Talman Ave.
Or, you could do “THE INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE, SUPER STRANGE, AWKWARD FIRST DATE DEAL!” Taco in a Bag, 4603 N Lincoln, is going all out with a package that includes:
- Walking tacos infused with black truffle, wagyu beef
- Main lobster ragout
- Dessert taco sundae lined with edible gold foil and edible gold flakes
AND a private dining area, entertainment, and table-side service. For $400.
I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if they sell out.
