If running and rocking is your thing plan on partying at the Rock The Night 5k in Chicago. Formerly known as Terrapin, this will be the 5th year on August 21st at Soldier Field. Even as a non-runner this event totally appeals to me being outside under the stars with a BBQ, ice cold beer and live music. Plus, this year's headliner is Big Head Todd and The Monsters!
Rock The Night 5k is Thursday evening, August 21 at Soldier Field. The race kicks off at 7:00pm. Get there by 6:15pm to check your gear and jam out to opening bands. Complimentary shuttles will be returning from Soldier Field to Union Station beginning at 8pm and running until 10pm. Limited parking will be available at Waldron Deck for $20.
Run. Rock. Relax. And raise money for Special Olympics. Oh, and if you want you can even skip the running part and still enjoy the concert - register HERE.
