Kevin Cole Joins CSO To Perform Rhapsody In Blue At Ravinia July 29

Due to a scheduling conflict Chucho Valdes will not perform with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra on July 29 at as previously announced. 

Ravinia is grateful to Kevin Cole for joining conductor James Conlon and the CSO on July 29 to perform Rhapsody in Blue, which has become a signature piece for the Gershwin expert. Cole last played Rhapsody at Ravinia in 2011, leaving the Chicago Tribune raving “When  sits down at the piano, you would swear Gershwin himself was at work ... Cole stands as the best Gershwin pianist in America today.”

Chucho Valdes will still perform his "Latin Night" concert at Ravinia on July 30 with co-headliner Bebel Gilberto.
