This weekend Hubbard Street Dance returns with its Summer Series. They present a program of work by acclaimed Israeli choreographer Ohad Naharin. The shows take place at Harris Theatre for Music and Dance in Millennium Park.
The program features Decadance/Chicago, a reimagining of Naharin's best known works created specifically for Hubbard Street. Decadance/Chicago is the latest interpretation of Deca Dance series, which is recreated every 10 years.
"Ohad Naharin's return to Chicago is the perfect conclusion to our fantastic 40th Season, which featured the stellar work of some of the most innovative voices in contemporary dance," ~ Glenn Edgerton, Artistic Director. The program showcases both Ohad's creativity and the dancers' technique & talent. The New York Times has described Naharin's signature style as "distinguished by stunningly flexible limbs and spines, deeply grounded movement, explosive bursts and a vitality that grabs a viewer by the collar."
Hubbard Street Dance Summer Series are playing at Harris Theatre for Music and Dance, 205 East Randolph Street. Tickets are on sale and range from $25 to $110.
