"Laissez les bons temps rouler!” was truly the atmosphere inside STK-Chicago on Tuesday night for their Mardi Gras celebration.
Guests were greeted at the door by members of staff wearing traditional green, gold and purple masks and handing out beads in true Mardi Gras fashion. The only thing missing was a Krewe of Rex parade through the restaurant. To make up for not having a parade, the house DJ kept the music rolling and there were wandering entertainers throughout the crowd adding to the festive feeling of the night. If you were lucky enough to be charmed by the magician or mesmerized by the burlesque dancers, then your night was a good one.
Inside the VIP room, guests were delighted when given a swag bag of goodies from STK and Bulliet Bourbon for attending the party. Another facet to the evening was the Bulliet Bourbon Frontier Whiskey cocktails and New Orleans inspired hors d’oeuvres of andouille sausage with Cajun aioli, pork sliders, shrimp and cheesy grits and cherry cotton candy. Everything tasted delicious and guests couldn’t get enough of the shrimp and grits every time they emerged from the kitchen. Later in the evening, servers came around and provided all guests with shots to help continue celebrating Mardi Gras.
Looking around the room it was clear to see the spirt of New Orleans Mardi Gras was being felt in the heart of Chicago at STK.
