Looking to avoid the Lollapalooza crowds? Chef Edward Kim from is creating a sanctuary for non-Lolla goers complete with a special weekend roast on Mott Street’s private beer garden.

Refuge at the restaurant’s outdoor garden includes corn hole, a curated playlist of old school beats from Beverage Director Nate Chung, shaved ice cocktails, and most importantly, Chef Kim himself preparing some of the best BBQ in town.

Starting Saturday and Sunday at 1pm, Chef Kim’s roast will include fire roasted kalbi, lamb belly ribs, and shrimp with sides of shishito peppers and corn on the cob.

Even better, the laid-back Wicker Park gem is offering a free bottle of their housemade sauce to the first 10 guests that arrive each day. A bottle of sauce doesn’t guarantee you’ll be able to cook like Chef Kim, but having like a bottle of Ginger Scallion and Ssam at the front of your cabinet brings you one step closer.
