Adding to their ever expanding class schedule, Equinox is ushering in 2016 with their latest offering, The Cut. Developed by fitness expert Christa DiPaolo, The Cut is a non-stop 45-minute boxing and martial arts inspired workout.
Set to a loud, dynamic playlist, The Cut is broken up into five rounds of drills. Shadowboxing (with or without weights) is the main component of each round. In between punches, body weight and plyometric exercises are incorporated. Burpees, planks and jumps should be expected.
No heavy bags or punching mitts are involved. So, there's no need for gloves. Just bring water.
DiPaolo, who also has a background in dance, has over 15 years of boxing experience and has trained with top fitness instructors including Tae Bo creator Billy Blanks. DiPaolo designed The Cut as a full body workout for athletes of all abilities. There are plenty of modifications to make the workout easier or harder.
