Chicagoans have been sweet on Stan’s Donuts & Coffee since artisan baker Rich Labriola opened the first store five years ago. In recognition of the city’s donut-eating, coffee-swilling loyalists, Stan’s will celebrate its milestone birthday by giving guests more of what they love—free donuts!—plus a playfully decadent new donut.

On Tuesday, Feb. 26, guests who visit any of the 10 Stan’s stores in the city and suburbs will receive a free glazed donut with any purchase.

That day also marks the debut of Stan’s Caramel Marshmallow Pocket, featuring gooey caramel and marshmallow folded inside a generous pillow of dough. The Pocket’s final touch: chocolate glaze and a sprinkling of mini-marshmallows.

As a sweet reward for the early birds on Feb. 26, the first 50 customers at each store will receive a complimentary Caramel Marshmallow Pocket.

The new Caramel Marshmallow Pocket is $3.75 and joins the Dough Boy’s Best lineup on Stan’s menu, which includes the much-loved Biscoff Pocket and Chocolate Pocket with Nutella. Pockets have been a part of the Stan’s experience dating to Stan Berman’s original shop in Los Angeles.

In addition to its vast and whimsical selection of donuts, Stan’s Donuts & Coffee serves locally roasted coffee, brewed fresh daily, plus cold brew, espresso beverages, ice cream, bagels and other seasonal treats in an affable neighborhood setting.

Labriola opened the first Stan’s in 2014 in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. In September, he cut the ribbon on the 10th Stan’s Donuts & Coffee in northwest suburban Schaumburg.
