In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, River North hotspot Pink Taco hosts its first-ever Tacos for Tatas this October!

All month long, they’ll be celebrating Pink TAC-tober offering a special menu featuring items with cancer-fighting ingredients as well as limited-edition “tacos for tatas” pink tees!

A portion of the proceeds from the special Tacos for Tatas menu and t-shirts will benefit Tickled Pink for Bright Pink, a national non-profit focused on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women.

“Tacos for Tatas” features a menu filled with super food ingredients such as avocado, cactus and grapefruit, which research shows helps individuals stay healthy and reduce their chances of cancer. “Pink Taco is all about keeping it simple,” said Executive Chef Angelo Chavez. “That simplicity is reflected in this special menu we’ve created and includes nutritious, wholesome ingredients, packed with flavor, that leave you feeling good.”

Dishes include The Ape ($4), featuring sweet potatoes three ways served on a homemade corn tortilla topped with cactus salsa and cotija cheese along with Hamachi Ceviche ($12) mixed with grilled avocado and habanero grapefruit aguachile.

Cocktails help to fight cancer? Research shows that tequila aids digestion, is a probiotic and helps lower cholesterol and blood sugar…so drink up! Enjoy Pink Taco’s signature margarita Something Pink ($18), which mixes Partida Blanco with fresh prickly pear puree (served in a Pink Taco glass to take home) or opt for a Frozen Pink Sangria ($9), made with red wine, fresh fruit and triple sec.

The Tacos for Tatas menu and limited edition pink t-shirts will be available October 1st – 31st. A portion of the proceeds from both will directly benefit Tickled Pink for Bright Pink.
